Don't suffer the embarrassment of being exterminated by an out-of-date Dalek! These bright colorful new Daleks are so wonderful it makes it almost an honor to be killed by one. Almost.
The question is, are the New Daleks the wave of the future, or more like New Coke? And why does the BBC want to go to the prom?

The new Daleks look fine, but they are far too big.
Daleks should be small and mean.
Oy! Can't they leave anything more than two years old in design alone! I like my "deadly" to be a bit more "classic-lines" looking.
(It isn't that kind of prom, silly girl. LOL.)
PaperSmyth, RT Davies had the Daleks redesigned when he brought them back. His Daleks are not identical to how the Daleks looked in the classic series (which had minor changes of appearance).
The new Daleks look a bit like the Cushing movie Daleks, which is classic in a way. But they are too big.

I'm a poor American schmuck with few TV channels, so I watch Doctor Who on Netflix. I only got to see the new Doctor once on my parents' TV. They get a giga-billion channels.
Oh wow, the other night my twins and I were kickin' it old school watching Jon Pertwee! :)
