We are so used to our own cultural norm of eating tools that we may forget, when we sit down to dinner, that not everyone uses chopsticks. Some folks use odd implements like forks and spoons instead. And the things aliens use would be even weirder.
What kind of tools do YOUR favorite aliens eat with? Tongs, forceps, basket-rakes, needles, chainsaws? Or maybe they just use their fingers/tentacles.....

I think they use very long wide swords. That's why their noses are so stubby and they have so many scars on their faces.

I've been busy working on creating a language for a sci-fi novel and after coming up with a word that means 'eating utensil' and applies to chopsticks and forks equally, I wondered what my alien races eat with.
I decided the Bakoun eat with forceps and the Grappu eat with a miniature version of my favorite manure fork (which I call a basket-rake, though the Grappu term is alisc....)
