BBC Being Human: In mourning for [spoiler!]

The season 3 series finale was last Saturday. You get used to all those promos that threaten dire things for all our favorite characters, and you also get used to things working out for them.

But this time they've really gone and done it. Someone got dead, and it was.....

[SPOILERS! Don't read further if you don't want to know!]

...Mitchell. Well, yeah, being a vampire he was dead before, but since he got staked, he's deader. He actually asked to be staked, as he's fearful he's going to just keep on killing.

So now instead of our beloved series about three single night-creatures sharing a house, we've got a domestic drama of a werewolf couple and a ghost couple?

I mean, it's pretty well established that in the Being Human world, everyone who dies is a ghost, at least for the time it takes them to walk through their door. And while they haven't explicitly shown vampire ghosts, why are they an exception? I'd imagine their ghosts might appear at the site where they originally died--- where they became vampires.

One doesn't really know whether Mitchell's staking is the end of him on the series, or a way for he and Annie to grow closer together.

I must say though I don't really like the Being Human of this third season. They bugged out of their old pink house and moved from Bristol to somewhere in Wales. It turned far darker and Mitchell turned into a mass murderer. It stopped being fun.

But then on the other hand we can always turn to the SYFY version of Being Human. It's not the same, but it has a lot of the spirit of the original, and perhaps will grow into a less gloomy direction than the BBC version has.

Still, I do look forward to the next season of BBC's BH. Can't wait to see what George and Nina's cub will turn out to be. And I also can't wait to see how Josh and Nora get on in the SYFY version, either. Werewolves in love--- my favorite thing....
